Abstract

The issue of pollution is one of the most significant and severe problems resulting from human civilization in the world today. From deep underground to mines, underground waters, biosphere, troposphere, and even inside high-flying airplanes and the outer atmosphere, the life cycle and system are threatened. If the molecules of pollutants that are now entering the environment from a factory or another polluted source, for example in Europe, are not decomposed or transformed, they may likely enter the lungs of humans living in the heart of African forests or vast Asian plains after some time. Pollution has different meanings and implications for different people. Ordinary people may consider eye irritation caused by polluted gas or water as pollution. For agriculture, pollution is considered when a factor harms its plants or animals. However, if we want to consider a comprehensive and simple definition of environmental pollution, we can say that environmental pollution is the presence of one or more pollutants in the environment to an extent and duration that changes the natural quality or cycle in a way that is harmful to human or animal health, plants, or structures and buildings. In simpler terms, pollution occurs when foreign substances enter environmental elements with a specific concentration and disrupt their natural balance.
