Abstract
This research deals with the comprehensive review of research conducted in the field of energy saving from 1973 to 2023. Scopus database was used in this research and after applying keywords and time limits, the total number of documents obtained was equal to 16189 documents. The purpose of this study is to analyze the publication process of documents in different years and to introduce the best in this field, including authoritative publications, leading countries, active researchers, frequent documents and important keywords. The results show that the highest number of published documents with 1137 documents is related to 2020. Among researchers, Wang y, Zhang y and Li y are ranked first to third with 323, 293 and 232 documents respectively. The countries of China, the United States, and Japan, respectively, with 7617, 1129, and 879 documents in terms of publication, and the countries of China, the United States, and Italy, with 86,173, 33,359, and 18,319 citations, are in the first to third ranks in terms of citations. With the publication of 552 documents, Advanced Materials Research is at the top of active publications in the field of energy saving. Also, the words "conserving energy", "using energy" and "saving energy" are the most frequent words in this field with 10,770, 5,998 and 5,101 repetitions, respectively. This research helps to identify research patterns and trends in the field of energy saving and provide valuable insights for researchers and decision makers in order to improve energy efficiency and develop sustainable solutions.
