Abstract
The quality of drinking water plays a vital role in the health of humans and animals. Water is one of the fundamental necessities of life, and its quality has a direct impact on the physical and mental well-being of individuals. Contaminated water can lead to gastrointestinal diseases, infections, and various health issues, thereby affecting the public health of communities. Furthermore, in the livestock sector, the quality of drinking water can influence the growth, productivity, and health of animals. Poor-quality water can result in decreased livestock production and increased susceptibility to diseases. In various industries, the use of high-quality water is of particular importance. Water serves as a raw material in many industrial processes, including food, chemical, and pharmaceutical production. Low-quality water can adversely affect the quality of final products, leading to increased costs, waste, and safety issues. Therefore, examining and controlling water quality is an unavoidable necessity for safeguarding the health of humans and animals and meeting industrial needs. Water quality is a fundamental issue in the consumption of all types of water, ranging from drinking to agriculture and industry. This study investigates the quality of drinking water from wells in the Hashtgerd region, considering sub-variables such as EC, bicarbonate, chloride, potassium, and total dissolved solids. Ultimately, a water quality zoning map for drinking water has been developed using these sub-variables through ArcMap software.
