Applied management of wastewater treatment in water industries using AHP method

Abstract

Effective management of wastewater treatment in water industries is very important to maintain water quality and protect the environment. With increasing environmental concerns and regulatory requirements, the need for efficient and sustainable wastewater treatment methods has become critical. This research presents a practical approach for wastewater treatment management in water industries using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The AHP method provides a structured and systematic framework for decision-making and allows water industry professionals to prioritize and evaluate the various factors affecting wastewater treatment management. As a valuable tool for decision-making in wastewater treatment management, AHP method identifies decision-making criteria, creates a hierarchical structure, and compares pairs of criteria as a case study in stone crushers in the water industry environment. In this study, in order to choose the best strategy among the proposed plans, selection techniques in value engineering with AHP method were used. By forming a team of project experts, the main and influential criteria were selected from among the proposed criteria and their importance coefficients were determined by AHP method and paired comparison tables were completed, which were analyzed by special vector method. It was found that the direct costs of the stone crusher have decreased by 35% and the balance between resources and meeting the needs and functions of the proposed plan has been established. In construction project management, the Analytical Hierarchy (AHP) selection method is useful in value engineering.making by including technical indicators along with economic indicators to determine the best construction plans.
